Community Guidelines

A shared standard for thoughtful conversation and useful connections.

Participate with purpose

ConvoCircle brings together editorial, professional communities and events. These guidelines apply to profiles, Circles, comments, messages, audio rooms and participation in ConvoCircle World. Bring relevant ideas, respect other people and give a conversation room to develop.

Respect people and their privacy

  • Challenge ideas without harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Do not publish another person’s private contact details, messages or recordings without permission.
  • Respect a person’s decision to decline an invitation or leave a conversation.
  • In audio rooms and events, allow others to speak and follow the host’s participation rules. Get permission before recording or reusing someone’s contribution.

Represent yourself and your work accurately

Use a profile that accurately represents you. Manage an organisation’s Circle only when authorised to do so. Do not impersonate a person, organisation or event, claim verification you have not received, or suggest an endorsement that does not exist.

Share content you own or have permission to use. Credit sources, distinguish fact from opinion and correct material errors. Disclose a relevant commercial interest when promoting an event, service or project. Avoid spam, misleading links, repetitive promotion and attempts to obtain other members’ account credentials.

Care for your Circle

Owners and moderators should keep the Circle’s description, images and membership expectations clear. Additional Circle rules should be visible to members and consistent with these guidelines. Use moderation permissions for the community’s purpose and explain decisions where practical.

Raise a concern or request a review

Use Reporting & Appeals to report content, conduct or a decision. Reviews consider the relevant rule, context and available evidence. A response may include clarification, a request to change content, removal of content or a restriction on participation. The appropriate action depends on the circumstances.

If a decision affects your content or account, you can ask for it to be reviewed and supply additional context. For account or technical assistance, visit Help & Account Support.
